Raymond L. Gulsby, 72, of Port Charlotte passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Born on January 28, 1944 in Atmore, Alabama to the late Cecil Gulsby and Mattie Saunders, Raymond had been a resident of the Englewood area since 2012 coming from Fort Payne, Alabama. He was a plumbing contractor prior to his retirement. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Susan in 2013 and a son, Thomas in 2006. Survivors include two sons: David M. (Cynthia) Gulsby and Timothy R. Gulsby both of Port Charlotte, one sister: Annie Laura Kyser of Pace, FL; three brothers: John Gulsby of Torrance, CA; Melvin Gulsby of Hamilton, NJ; James Gulsby of Punta Gorda, FL; and four grandchildren. A service of memory will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11 AM at the Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory, 3070 South McCall Road with Rev. Carl Kaltreider, officiating.
