Herman Clifford Jensen, Jr., 89, of Englewood, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 3, 1926 in Guayama, Puerto Rico he had been a resident of Charlotte County two years coming from Bayshore, New York. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1944-1946. Cliff retired from the New York Telephone Company as a district manager after thirty-six years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a dedicated communicant of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include his devoted wife of sixty-eight years: Doris; one daughter: Jannette Piehl of Brockville, Ontario, Canada; two sons: Herman “Chip” (Lisa) Jensen, III and Ernest (Tracy) Jensen both of Bayshore, New York; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be private. Interment will be in Sarasota National VA Cemetery. Englewood Community Funeral Home has been selected to handle arrangements.
